| 산행 준비물 | Mandatory requirements for the ride is as follows: mountain bike helmet (required by law otherwise can be ticketed by rangers) Other than above, you should bring: water light snack (i.e. energy bar, energy gel) - no lunch required, we will be done before lunch sunglasses riding gloves - not required but ideal to ride with it spare tube - not required but should always carry one other minor items, I will be carrying them, so not needed for this time |
We will be holding 2nd beginning mountain bike ride/class. We will be riding at different location this time around. We will meet at Grizzly Flat Trailhead, 22499 Skyline Blvd. (between Page Mill Road/Alpine Road and Hwy 9 -- closer to Page Mill Road/Alpine Road).
BAC members who were not at the 1st ride/class on 9/20 are welcome to join in. Please note that in order to join the ride, you will be expected to already know how to ride a bicycle.
The meeting place will be at parking lot of Grizzly Flat Trailhead. Please make sure to get to the meeting location by 8:15am so that we are ready to start riding at 8:30am.
For those of you coming up on Highway 9 through Saratoga, we will meet at Saratoga Downtown U.S. Bank parking lot at 7:45am. I will be bringing my bike rack that holds 4 bikes. I will have extra spot for those that can make it.

I know it is too early to tell this early in the week, but with the overlap with Half Dome trip, I am wondering how many people will be able to join this ride.
If the group is small enough (max 6), and there are no new riders, one suggestion might be to ride at the next level trail at Long Ridge trail. I know 아리송님 & 수지님 are more than ready for it. Just a thought.

예, 좀더 두고 보지요. 저는 어느쪽도 좋습니다. 정말 앞으로는 후보지를 2~3군데 정해놓고 참가인원의 수나 level등을 봐가면서 Biking코스를 정하는것도 좋을것 같습니다. Biking은 Maximum 10명이 넘으면 여러가지 안전사고의 위험도 있고...

아무래도 이번 주말은 이런저런 준비때문에 참가하기가 어렵겠네요...ㅠㅠ
네팔 다녀와서 길동무와 함께 자전거 다시 들고 나가겠습니다.

모이는 인원이 많지 않으면 집결시간을 8시로 했으면 좋겠습니다. 제가 2시20분에 둘째 픽업이(예정) 있어서... El Camino에서 점심먹는시간까지
고려하면 좀 빠듯할듯...

저는 2시30분 애 픽업 Schedule이 있어서 따로 움직이겠습니다. 시간이 맞으면 끝나고 교포마켓 Food Court에서 자장면 회동이 있겠습니다.
시간이 맞으면 Castle Rock Team도 같이 회동할수도 있음.

If we start riding at 8:30am, we will be done well before 11am. I think that should allow us to easily stop by El Camino for 자장면, and still have you take care of pick up at 2:30pm without any issues. I can pick you up from your home and meet you at Barnes Noble, let me know which you prefer.
Since it looks like there are only 3 of us, let's change the location to Long Ridge/Peter's Creek trail. We will start at Grizzly Trailhead.

Long Ridge 이면 Saratoga Gap 하고 이으지는 곳이지요? Grizzly TH 는 Saratoga Gap 파킹장에서 북쪽으로 몇 마일 가는지요.. 아니면 S Gap에서 시작하면 너무 먼가요?

Sooji님, you are correct. Long Ridge is connecting trail to Saratoga Gap. But we will be starting at the other end of the trail. Grizzly Flat trailhead parking lot is I think 4 or 5 miles north of Saratoga Gap parking lot. If you want, we can meet at Saratoga Gap parking lot at 8:10am.
I want to save Saratoga Gap for later as it is a bit more technical.

어제는 santa Teresa 2 시간 오늘은 almaden Quicksilver 1 시간mtb 했습니다
심장을 조여주고 허벅지당겨주는 느낌이 아주 very good

어제 2시간 정도 Almaden Quicksilver에서 MTB했습니다. 그런데 Mocking Bird Entry에서 가니까 대부분이 Bike금지표시가 있더군요.이번 주말 날씨는 좋을것 같은데 시간이 되면 다른 입구에서 다시한번 Try하려고 합니다. 가파른 오르막은 앞바퀴가 막 들리더군요.
그래도 끌바 몇번하면서 제일 높은곳 까정은 갔습니다.
여기서 몇번더 연습한다음 Montara State Beach--> Montara Mountain North Peak(San Pedro County Park)까지 한번 도전해 보려구여.
오르막 올라갈때는 멀리 내다보는것 보다는 바로 앞만 쳐다보면서 페달링을 하니까 좀더 오르는것 같습니다. 멀리 내다보니까 경사에 지레 질려 버려서 자꾸 멈추게 되더군여.
