Thank you dol-nim for explaining the rules and etiquette for posting trips. Chrystal had the best intentions but may have been too hasty on posting the trip. Alta peak could have been too hard on the inexperienced person and safety was the number one rule. When another member mention that we needed a ice ax, we were surprised and taught it may be too dangerous especially with other people going. We spoke with Aha-nim and he didn’t even have a ice ax,so we thought of canceling the trip anyway because it may have been too dangerous for us and he agreed.
Butkil-nim had put up mt Shasta and I wanted to go because of the weather permitting it and needed to explain if we ended up going there so we stated in the posting that it was postponed. And also, fab-nim had also put Alta peak at the end of June so anyone interested can go when it is safer and with someone with more experience. Thank you again for informing us Dol-nim.
