911 Dispatcher Uses Facebook to Find Injured Hiker in Calif.


이틀전 뉴스입니다.
11살난 아들이 아버지가  실족해서 150'  절벽밑으로 떨어지자  911 에 전화를 걸었습니다.
그러나 전화상태가 안 좋은데다, 말하는 도중에  전화가 끊겨집니다.
911 직원은 전화가  Lake Berryessa 에서 30 마일 떨어진  Vacaville 에 있는 
cell phone 통신탑에서 신호가 잡혔다는것 외에는 정보가 없었습니다. 

새로 입사한  한 911 직원은 그들이 어디에서 사고를 당했는지 정확한 위치를 알수가 없자, 
소년의 아버지의 이름으로 Linked In 에서 이들의 거주지를 알아내고,  FACE BOOK 에 들어가 
이들 가족이 그날  Lake Berryessa 에 있는 Blue Ridge Loop Trail 에 산행을 하러 갔다는 것을 알아내서
어두어지기 바로직전에 사고를 당한 가족을 구합니다.   아버지는 중상을 입었다고 합니다.  
Lake Berryessa 는  Bay area 에서 북동쪽으로  3 시간정도 올라가면 나옵니다.



LAKE BERRYESSA, Calif. — Officials say a 911 dispatcher in training used Facebook to locate a Northern California hiker critically injured after falling a 150 feet down a cliff while hiking near Lake Berryessa.

Ryan Pritchard was hiking with his son in the remote Blue Ridge Loop Trail when he slipped and fell. His 11-year-old called 911 but the call got cut off before he could tell dispatchers where his father was.

Dispatchers were hitting a dead-end trying to make contact when trainee Breanna Martinez decided to do a search for Pritchard on Facebook.

She tells CBS13 in Sacramento (http://cbsloc.al/1tPQf9V) the very first post on Pritchard's page was a picture of his two sons standing in front of Lake Berryessa and the comment 'Hiking the Blue Ridge Trail today.'"

That post helped bring rescue crews to the area in time to get Pritchard out before sunset.
